YOUTH AND STUDENTS

Voces de la Frontera has a very active youth and student group - Youth Empowered in the Struggle (YES).

YES is a youth-led, multicultural social justice group that struggles for student, immigrant, and worker rights. We currently have chapters at 12 high schools and 3 universities.

You can attend one of our weekly meetings to find out more.


Racine: Tuesdays at 5:00 at the Labor Center, 2100 Layard Ave.

Milwaukee: Thursdays at 5:30 at Bucketworks, 706 S. 5th St.

Myth: Immigrants don't pay taxes

Fact: All immigrants pay taxes, whether income, property, sales, or other. Undocumented workers contribute billions of dollars in Social Security taxes, but cannot draw any benefit.
